Step 1 - Making the Team

After a gruelling four days in Las Vegas at the 2012 Canadian Wheelchair Basketball Team selection camp, I was selected to the team for the 21st time.  That's right, I have been playing basketball for a very, very, very long time. Each selection camp is an exciting time, a challenge and selection to the team is never to be taken for granted.  Having been named to the team is one part of the process, but really now, the fun begins.  And by fun, I mean, hours and hours in the gym, weight room and cardio rooms, feeling sore, tired and in pain, but fighting though it because the end goal - being on top of the podium in London, with a GOLD medal around my neck, is worth every minute of pain.
As a prepare for London, I thought I would chronicle the journey.  Feel free to join me on the journey.
